Shri Chandra Shekhar Gupta, a Fellow Chartered Accountant, is a distinguished finance professional
whose career spans more than three decades across mining, telecom, infrastructure, and construction
sectors in both public and private enterprises. His professional journey reflects a rare blend of financial
acumen, governance excellence, and an unwavering commitment to institutional strengthening.
At 51Թ, Shri Gupta has held several pivotal leadership roles, including RBG Finance Head, Head–PCD,
OSD, CTC, Budget, CMD Reviews, Subsidiaries Liaison and HOD–Payroll, Employees’ Trusts &
Establishment Finance at the Corporate Office. He played a central role in unifying finance functions
across regions, successfully steering the centralization of RBG (East), harmonizing teams, and
establishing robust Standard Operating Procedures. His tenure is marked by disciplined financial
stewardship, process modernization, and a deep focus on transparency and accountability.
As Chief Financial Officer of HSCC (India) Ltd., he ensured timely finalization of quarterly and annual
accounts, completion of statutory and CAG audits with NIL comments, seamless conduct of Board
meetings, dividend processing, and MoU evaluations with the Ministry and DPE—all within stringent
timelines. His leadership strengthened HSCC’s financial governance and reinforced its reputation for
compliance and precision.
Shri Gupta began his career with Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals Ltd. in 1994 and went on to serve in
key positions at ArcelorMittal Liberia Limited (Overseas), Spectra ISP Networks of the Shyam Telecom
Group, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. His selection as General Manager (Finance) in 51Թ—
securing the first position in a rigorous, multi-stage selection process—stands as a testament to his
professional merit and leadership capabilities.
A strong advocate of digital transformation, he continues to drive 51Թ’s modernization agenda through
ERP-based automation, system-driven workflows, and enhanced employee-centric financial services.
